Schmitz Cargobull is offering the S.KI.Light semi-spherical steel semitrailer tipper with a tare of 4,990 kg. It is designed for short journeys and frequent loading of abrasive materials. The manufacturer is also offering an S.KI.Light semitrailer tipper in aluminium, with a tare of 4,580 kg, designed for longer distances and less frequent loads of fine granulated materials. These two semitrailer tippers will be shown at Bauma 2010 in April.

In the light of the success of the Renault Magnum in its ‘Route 66’ livery, shown for the first time in the spring of 2009, Renault Trucks has decided to market the model as a special edition. Going beyond the specific external paint scheme, this ‘Route 66’ will have the benefit of top of the range equipment: Optidriver + gearbox, Excellence Pack with radio, CD, MP3, Bluetooth, under-bed refrigerator, multipass cab and swivelling passenger seat. The Magnum Route 66 is on offer as a 4x2 tractor unit, with the possibility for the client to select the DXi 13 Euro 5 engine producing 440 bhp, 480 bhp or 520 bhp.

Euro-Leasing, a German specialist in truck renting, has announced that it is strengthening its market position with a second premium brand, following the taking of a majority stake by MAN Rental in Euro-Leasing (50,1 % since December 2009). The company is also planning to invest in new equipment in 2010 and to extend the average vehicle age (2.8 to 3.5 years). Euro-leasing also wishes to attack the Scandinavian markets in 2011-2012.
