Scania is delivering 85 new ethanol-powered buses to Nobina, that operates on behalf of the Stockholm regional public transport company, Storstockholms Lokaltrafik (SL). These buses will help SL to fulfill its idea to invest in buses that operate only on renewable fuels starting from 2010.
Next year Mercedes-Benz Trucks will extend its production network in at the Juiz de Fora plant in Brazil. The company will manufacture heady-duty Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks for the Latin market as well as the Brazilian Mercedes-Benz Accelo light truck.
A 100 Renault Kerax trucks will be delivered to Bulgarian group Trace AD - the principal contractor of the chief Bulgarian motorway construction that will cross the country from east to west. Kerax trucks 8x4 (80 models) and 6x4 with tipper bodies and reinforced chassis will operate in this project. The deal is accompanied by the subscription to the Optifuel programme that includes training in economic driving in construction sector.
Three new secure parking areas will be constructed in the Rotterdam port. These new infrastructure facilities, located in the Waalhaven (South) and Botlek (De Punt and Distripark) zones, will provide 326 HGV parking places equipped with fencing, access control system, sanitary installations, etc.
