Renault Midlum is the world's largest motor-vehicle

Electric motor is used not only for light-duty trucks. Renault Trucks is presenting a Renault Midlum 16-ton motor-vehicle for logistic services company of STEF-TFE. It is the largest motor-vehicle ever which traveled the roads to deliver food in the city. This new truck has qualities such as quietness and lack of polluting emissions into the environment. Truck is designed to deliver goods within the city, as he is well adapted to urban conditions. This truck model will be tested within one year, and during this period, the truck will be used to supply fresh products to Carrefour Group hypermarket in the city of Lyon and its surroundings. This truck is a result of a technological partnership between Renault Trucks and such companies as PVI, IFP Energies nouvelles.

From the beginning of 2012, and within 1 year, this truck will be used to deliver products to eight hypermarkets in Carrefour branch in the center of Lyon and its surroundings (Carrefour Planet in the city of Vénissieux, Carrefour Market in Saint-Fons, and also in the cities, where there are Carrefour groceries. This quiet truck can deliver the products to the city center early in the morning (between 5.00 and 7.00 am), thereby not violating the peace and quiet of the citizens.
