Mercedes Future Truck 2025

Mercedes Future Truck 2025

What will a long-haul truck look like in 2025? Mercedes decided to introduce its own concept: it showed its Future Truck-2025 at the IAA-2014 in Germany. This truck is really an innovative big-rig.

The Future Truck-2025 by Mercedes has smooth surfaces with LED shining fitted into. This shining disappears when the truck is parked. When the vehicle is working in an autonomous regime, the lighting changes to blue. However, the most specific feature of the present new generation truck will become what we call an autonomous operating regime. Several radar sensors will scan the traffic in order to guarantee the safety of the vehicle and the driver. Such a regime will allow the driver to relax after a long drive.

Apart from an impressive appearance the Future Truck-2025 will be able to boast a first-class cab equipment. Thus, in order to ensure more comfort the driver’s seat will be swiveling and the seats of passengers will be reclining and able to turn into a bunk. The control panel will be equipped with numerous displays that will simplify the operation process, and a Samsung tablet. The cab will be fitted with a system of ambient lighting and several local lamps.

The new model of Future Truck-2025 by Mercedes has already managed to cause a furor at the IAA-2014 in Germany. Everyone is looking forward to find out whether the predictions made by Mercedes considering the future of trucks proves true in 10 years.
