The number of latest generation Actros trucks has already exceeded 100 thousand in the output. Since it was launched in 1996 an Actros has been the most successful truck of Mercedes-Benz Company. Economy, controllability and comfort are three key factors, which have helped Mercedes-Benz Actros to gain popularity all around the world. Latest generation trucks have been produced since 2011 at the factory near Wörth am Rhein. This factory is one of the biggest factories, specialized in Mercedes-Benz production (about 470 machines per day).
New Actros trucks became first trucks, which meet all ecological Euro 6 standards. Since October the latest OM471 engine has been installed in the trucks. The OM471 engine has allowed to reduce fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions to 3%.
Since 1996 more than a million Actros trucks have been sold around world. This is a great result achieved by Mercedes-Benz Company over such a short period of time.
