The remarkable IAA Commercial Vehicles 2016 is now over. But it is only the beginning of new deals for automakers. Thus, Kögel pins its hopes on a fresh Mega Trailer that is aimed at standard tasks for high-volume transportation.
The manufacturer did its best and designed a well thought-out semi-trailer with individual equipment. Particularly, it is now available with the new optional storage feature, which allows a vehicle to transport truck-mounted forklifts at the rear of the trailer. Another update includes the opportunity for double-level loading by means of steel C-rails and telescopic aluminium load-securing beams. The resulting second loading level provides a maximum payload of up to 10 tons, doubling the number of pallet spaces.
Also, the Mega Trailer features an original solution for the underride guard. With respect to this purpose, four plastic toolboxes can be fitted on the left-hand side, looking in the direction of travel. Alongside underride protection such an option offers a convenient storage space for tools.
