Premiered at Bauma 2016, the compact R920 crawler excavator from Liebherr is now ready to be sold worldwide. The new model is tailor-made to suit restricted construction sites or inner city areas. However, it also features such properties of standard crawler excavators as high performance and versatility. Furthermore, the designers thought out different equipment options to widen the application possibilities of their offer. As a result, the robust travel mechanism with the integrated eyelets is very easy to secure and transport. There are four undercarriage combinations, including a bulldozer blade, to choose from. The undercarriage is made according to the reliable Liebherr X design. In case of urban operation sites the tracks are available with rubber pads.
As for the precise dimensions and parameters, the new Liebherr R 920 Compact crawler excavator is powered by a 136 hp engine, which complies with the Stage IV / Tier 4f emissions standard. The operating weight carries between 19 and 21 tonnes, while a short tail swing is made to be only 1850 mm long. Thus, the machine provides effective operation on space-limited sites.
