The popular Fiat’s representative, the Ducato van, has turned 35!
The Italian automaker has good reason to feel pride. Its creation is a significant member in the family of large commercial vehicles. First, the Fiat Ducato is one of the best-selling vans of all time. Since 1981 it has served as a camper van and a commercial van in over 80 countries around the globe, selling about 5 million units over this time. Second, the Ducato is a great choice in terms of payload. As of the present-day generation, it is able to carry 2100kg. And finally, the birthday boy is considered to be the most fuel efficient large van. It is powered by the second generation of MultiJet engines. The Fiat Powertrain features an original servo valve, which provides more precise and more frequent, but, at the same time, smaller injections of fuel.
The Fiat’s outstanding model was even once chosen for International Van of the Year (in 1994).
