The launch of the second generation Volkswagen Crafter is eagerly anticipated and actively spoken about. The official release is planned for the upcoming autumn. There have appeared the official teasers of the model allowing the audience to get first glimpses of the latest Crafter.
It is already possible to detect the traces of such features, typical for Volkswagen vans, as a ‘smiley’ grille, trapezium headlights, and a large air intake at the centre of the bumper.
The manufacturer has stated that the new generation will include a wide range of configurations. The choice will allow future customers to buy mini vans as well as larger models with great load capacity. Moreover, it is already known that the new Crafter can boast the best rates regarding airflow resistance.
Taking into account the fact that the second generation is entirely original (in comparison with the previous Crafter variant, designed after Mercedes Sprinter) the novelty will be full of surprises. The technical data and inner design are still covered up. However, the power will be most likely provided by the Volkswagen’s famed 2-litre TDi unit, which is now compliant with the Euro-6 standard.
