About Hook Lift Trucks

Hooklift truck
Hooklift truck

The Hooklift Hoist System is mounted on heavy duty trucks. It allows changing out different kinds of bodies without any other machinery. Such trucks are called ‘hooklift hoists’, ‘hook loaders’ or simply hook lifts.

How it works

Top priorities of these vehicles are simplicity of design and operation. Thus, having one truck and one operator you’ve got unlimited potentials. The system enables trucks to collect and tip containers, tank or dumpster bodies quickly and efficiently. A driver even shouldn’t leave his cabin for that.

The working tool represents a series of hydraulic rams that hook, lift and hoist containers onto the chassis of a truck. Apart from loading/unloading the platform of the truck it’s also possible to perform the same operations on the platform of the attached trailer. Besides, the unloading can be carried out in a similar way as in case of tippers.

Where it can be used

The flexibility offered by hydraulic hook lifts may bring benefits in many spheres. Originally, it was designed to transport materials in the waste, recycling, scrap and demolition industries. Also, it can be took advantage of in agriculture and forestry for delivery of crops, fodder and timber harvest.

Leaders of the industry

In the word combination ‘hook lift trucks’ the main word is still ‘trucks’ that is why the leading brands are well-known: MAN, Mercedes Benz, Scania, Volvo, DAF and others.
