Die Ballenwickelmaschine Z237 mit Selbstlader ist mit einem hinteren Ladegreifer ausgerüstet, der einen schnellen und effizienten Maschinenbetrieb gewährleistet. Dadurch erfolgen Ernte und Wickelprozesse während der Fahrt von einem zum anderen Ballen oder zur Lagerungsstelle. Die angewendete Lösung ist nicht nur praktisch, sondern auch zeitsparend. Die Maschine ist mit einem Gerät zum Abtrennen und Aufnehmen der Folie ausgerüstet. Dadurch ist menschliches Eingreifen ausschließlich beim Anlegen neuer Folienrollen erforderlich.
Nach Abschluss der Wicklungsprozesse kann der Ballen mithilfe des Laderarms auf dem Untergrund abgestellt werden. Der Ballenwickler wurde mit einer Folienaufgabevorrichtung, erhältlich in zwei Varianten mit einer Breite von 500 mm und 750 mm, ausgerüstet.
Der Ballenwickler ist mit dem Treibrad-Drehsystem ausgerüstet, wodurch der Maschinentransport einfacher wird. Zugleich optimiert das System die Stabilität während der Arbeit. Durch die in der Maschine eingesetzte Konstruktion der vier Drehwellen wird verhindert, dass die Ballen während der Wicklungsprozesse abrutschen.
Die direkte Antriebsübertragung auf das spezielle Kranzlager des Drehtisches bewirkt, dass die Maschine im Gegensatz zu Maschinen mit Kettengetrieben leise und zuverlässig betrieben werden kann.
Die Steuerung erfolgt mithilfe der Steuerungshebel der mit Bowdenzügen ausgerüsteten
3-Sektionshydraulik aus der Schlepperkabine.
Die Maschine ist mit einem programmierbaren Zähler zur Darstellung der aktuellen Anzahl von Ballenwicklungen, der Betriebszeit, der Ballenanzahl sowie der durchschnittlichen Ballenanzahl innerhalb einer Stunde ausgerüstet. Ferner kann der Zähler auf drei voneinander unabhängigen Feldern eingesetzt werden.
