Box trucks

The purpose of trucks is to haul goods of various kinds, some of which require special transport conditions and the appropriate type of the body. The closed body is able to secure the freight against possible harm from the outside (rain/snow, mud, etc.). And in comparison to a curtainsider truck, the box type provides better safety inside the truck due to its rigid panels.

The box of a closed body is made either of plastics or metal. It is separated from the cab and mounted on the chassis. The offers of closed body used trucks in Europe are numerous and they are popular among customers.

Types of boxes:

• specialized

The latter type has its own classification according to the cargo and the requirements for its transportation. Thus, there are isothermal trucks that maintain the necessary microclimate in the box. Other peculiarities include the use of special equipment, such as fastening belts or installed shelters.

The volume and payload capacities of a closed body truck determine the scale of its use. Along with the remarkable benefits there are some drawbacks. For example, the rigid frame of the box can limit the possible cargo weight.
