KRONE, which is the manufacturer of agricultural machinery and combination vehicles, was founded by Dr. Bernard Krone in 1906. The company has been in the family possession for 4 generations already. KRONE entered the world market with the introduction of innovative and environmental solutions focused on two dimensions —trailers and semi-trailers, and agricultural machinery.

The product line of the first dimension includes the production and realization of curtainsider trailers, curtainsider semi-trailers and van-type trailers. Profi Liner, Profi Liner Eco, Mega Liner, Coil Liner, Paper Liner, Krone City Liner Curtain and Profi Liner Multi Steel are the brands of the company. All the trailers share the following features, such as high reliability, corrosion resistance due to powder coating, easiness in the standard components renewal and the production of walls and doors with the use of high-quality steel. What’s more, KRONE trailers and semi-trailers are equipped with the under-run protection bar, which prevents low vehicles from rolling under semi-trailers. KRONE doesn’t produce axles and chassis, but imports them from leading manufacturers. The engineers of the company configure the carrying capacity and maximal speed of the chassis. The front side is a robust frame construction and a steel wall with a plywood panel to provide protection for the truckload. Steel and vehicle curtains are used for series trailers and semi-trailers.

The peculiarities of the Mega Liner trailer are the hydraulic lifting roof up to 450 mm in height, the Multi Lock/Multi Block load security system and the mechanism for speeding-up the loading and unloading. The innovation of the company is the creation of the Profi Liner Eco semi-trailer with enhanced aerodynamic properties due to the lower part of the vehicle. Besides, KRONE has implemented the Easy Trap technology intended for curtainsider trucks, which is the pneumatic central lock with 4 attachment points.

Profi Liner Multi Steel is an attachment system, elaborated by KRONE in order to provide light holding and locking of the load (steel nets, trussed beams and 2D/3D elements). The peculiarity of the Coil Liner is a special trailer tray ensuring secure steel coil transportation. City Liner Curtain is a semi-trailer intended for often-repeated loading and unloading. It exists in several modifications: a refrigerator, a bulk carriage container or a drop-side truck with sideboard elevators.

Cool Liner, Dry Liner and City Liner van-type trailers represent the series of vehicles designed for maximal load protection alongside with meeting temperature regime and humidity level requirements. Advanced insulating materials are used to achieve this. Box Liner is a multi-functional container chassis.

KRONE owns a trading house and is working on the advancement of its network on the regional level, including a quite high level of after-sales support. Besides that, the company is busy with the development and implementation of the telematics, secure load transportation and secure mounting technologies into the process of production.

The agricultural machinery segment is an independent part of the group, specializing in the development, engineering and selling of agricultural machinery. The production can be divided into hay and forage equipment. The first group comprises self-propelled mower conditioners, disc mowers, rotary tedders, rotary rakes, balers, round balers and large square balers. Forage harvesters can be included into the second group.

The agricultural machinery of Krone cannot boast rich history, but it’s a known fact that the company managed to become well-reputed in the market. The first mower conditioner (the BiGM model) was introduced in 1996. This model is notable for exceptional high capacity (achieving work reaches up to 20 ha/h), reliability and long operative life. The working width of 2-4 m makes it possible to cut the grass fully.

EasyCut disc mowers are capable of cutting in a very clean and accurate manner, and the operating cost is quite low. The cutterbar is hermetically welded and provides good performance well for many years. Besides, the spur gears ensure crash-proof long-standing running, too. The EasyCut models can be delivered up to 8, 7 m in width.

Rotary tedders and rotary rakes are the universal instruments for wilted silage, hay and haylage procurement. Due to the smooth running and reduction gear, the operator can select the performance mode and spare the grass, if needed. In the agricultural sphere, standard balers, round and large square balers are the principal components used for transportation of silage, straw and hay. This machinery is able to produce round or square bales of high density and to reduce the working time. These machines can be equipped with fixed or variable chamber systems.

The BiGX forage harvester is a robust and reliable machine intended for work in fields. Due to its powerful motor and high-strength choppers, all types of forage are grinded up and got ready for transportation.
