We have owned this classic Leyland since the 1980s – and actually obtained the very last reconditioned 0600 engine to leave the Leyland Motors factory.
In 2012 it worked a VIP courtesy service for Omega, the official timekeepers at the London Olympics. For this prestigious role the interior was completely refurbished and given a complete set of Bridge of Weir (as supplied to Rolls Royce & Bentley) leather seats in black with red piping.
The PD3 model is a long wheelbase version of the "Titan" with a capacity for 74 passengers, which was the highest capacity realised in the classic bus era. With its solid cast aluminium radiator, polished allow bonnet and open rear platform, this is the iconic British Bus of the sixties.
