Screeners

Screeners are heavy equipment used mostly on construction or quarry sites to separate different raw material types or grades. Screening machines typically consist of a large rectangular unit equipped with multiple screens, which are mesh-like layers. Each mesh has openings of different dimensions to let particles of different sizes through, typically getting smaller with each layer.

Layers may take the form of an inclined conveyor, which transports and deposits its material in a container at the end of the conveyor belt. There can be a layer for each grade of material required. Most screeners use vibration to keep the material moving allowing the smaller pieces to find their way through.
