Euro Auctions - 'World Leading' Plant & Machinery Auction Specialists
A 'one stop shop' for buying and selling plant, machinery, agricultural and industrial equipment, and commercial vehicles
Euro Auctions are world leading auctioneers of construction machinery, agricultural equipment, industrial plant, and commercial vehicles. Now, as Europe's biggest auction specialists, Euro Auctions conducts over 60 major unreserved auctions every year around the globe, operating from 10 permanent auction sites in eight countries, on four continents. Marketing equipment to buyers and sellers in over 95 countries, Euro Auction has built an enviable reputation on the international stage and is now considered to be a global market leader.
Plant and machinery auctions are no longer seen as a place to send low value items, clearing out the junk. Since the global downturn in 2008, when OEMs stopped manufacturing new machines and vehicles, auctions were the place where contactors, civils companies and hire specialists went to look for good, well maintained, late, low hours machines. Today, the same holds true, and the experience of attending a big plant and machinery auction is like visiting a super dealership, or a 'one stop shop', where every make and model of machine or piece of equipment can be seen in one place, offering the buyer choice.
Now with robust online bidding platforms for all Euro Auctions sales, buyers around the globe have even more choice and can participate, online, in any one of the sales 60+ sales that Euro Auctions hosts each year.
Euro Auctions have built strong relationships with rental companies and fleet operators, who trust the reach, the customer base, and the marketing power that Euro Auctions has to attract buyers to 'single seller' sales. With the ability to lay out thousands of pieces of ex-rental equipment and machinery, in one place and sell the entire catalogue in one sale, many of the leading rental names in the market commission Euro Auctions to hold stock rotation sales, turning their inventory into cash in a relatively short period of time.
Recent Auction Results – Commercial Vehicles
The market is still starved of new machines, and it's predicted that OEMs still will struggle to deliver in 2022. So, good, late, low hour machines are of premium interest to buyers. At the recent Euro Auctions sale in the UK in early December 2021, Brian Doogue Haulage Ltd, a UK based contractor, consigned a fleet of specialist heavy commercial vehicles to the sale. There was great interest in these 2019, 2020 and 2021 trucks, all of which were of exceptional specification and in excellent condition. Bidding extremely brisk and prices were very, very, strong. Talking to buyers it was evident that contractors and operators whilst sourcing equipment for specific projects, they were snapping up good kit as it came over the ramp, due to market shortages.

What is the secret to Euro Auctions success? Jonnie Keys, Euro Auctions Operations Manager explains, "We have gained international recognition in the global auction arena, and as such, we have a loyal consignor and buyer base, in the UK, as well as around the world. We are a family business with family values. Big enough to do the job, and small enough to care. We take time to get to know our consignors and buyers personally and work closely with them to help their businesses. What sets us apart? Giving consignors realistic valuations on what their equipment may make at a sale, never over valuing. It's all too easy to inflate valuations to attract the seller's business only to lose that sellers trust when the hammer price is less than expected."
Since the global economy was affected by the Covid-19 virus, the used equipment, machinery, and vehicle market has boomed! When JCB and Caterpillar announced they were ceasing production at all manufacturing plants globally, including production sites in China, many OEMs followed. When the economy returned the demand for good late, low hours equipment and machinery soared, fuelling spiked interest in the used equipment economy.
