What is a Modified Bitumen Plant ?

A modified bitumen plant is a facility that produces modified bitumen by mixing bitumen with SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene) or similar granules at specific ratios. Heavy vehicles moving on roads built with pure bitumen can cause damage. Asphalt produced with modified bitumen, on the other hand, becomes more elastic, increasing the road’s resistance to such damage.

Modified bitumen plants can operate in batch type or continuous type, depending on the user's preference and the required production capacity.
