Precise, simple and reproducible control of the setting of inking and dampening rollers in printing presses - with digital measured value, adapted to modern printing technology - for better print quality with optimum dampening. Well-set rollers are the basis for good, consistent print quality and help to avoid printing difficulties. Even the most modern printing presses require precisely adjusted rollers. The awkward control with the paper strips on inked rollers is a poor fit with modern printing technology and is subjective. A digital measured value with minimal deviation allows reliable and reproducible roller setting for the necessary operational reliability, for optimum print quality and gentle use of the rollers. Well adjusted rollers live longer. Alcohol-reduced printing is only possible with good rollers and with correct adjustment of the dampening rollers. Dampening rollers that change their circumference due to the influence of dampening solution additive and alcohol are a common reason that difficult printing forms cannot be printed with a minimum use or without alcohol. The setting of the dampening rollers is therefore of decisive importance in determining whether it is possible to reduce or completely replace the alcohol and thus the VOCs.
