Question 1

What types of mixer pump trucks exist?

Accepted Answer

There are primarily two types of mixer pump trucks: concrete mixer pump trucks and volumetric mixer pump trucks. Concrete mixer pump trucks combine the function of concrete mixing and pouring all in one, making it a cost-effective solution for many construction sites. Volumetric mixer pump trucks, on the other hand, allow for the mixing of concrete at the job site, ensuring the mix is fresh and at the right consistency. They have separate compartments for different ingredients which are then mixed to the desired specifications at the site.

Question 2

How much does a mixer pump truck cost?

Accepted Answer

The cost of a mixer pump truck can vary greatly depending on the size, brand, and features, but typically, the price range for a new unit is between $100,000 and $300,000. Used or older models can cost significantly less.

Question 3

How to choose the mixer pump truck?

Accepted Answer

Choosing the right mixer pump truck depends on several factors:

1. Purpose: Determine what you will be using the truck for. If you're going to use it for larger projects, you may need a larger capacity truck.

2. Capacity: The size of the truck should be proportional to the volume of concrete you plan to mix and pump.

3. Pumping Distance: If you need to pump the concrete a long distance or to a significant height, you will need a truck with a more powerful pump.

4. Brand and Quality: Consider buying from a reputable manufacturer to ensure the quality and durability of the truck. Check the reviews and feedback from other customers.

5. Price: The cost of the mixer pump truck is also a major factor. Make sure to choose a truck that fits within your budget.

6. After-Sale Service: Make sure the manufacturer or dealer provides reliable after-sale service, such as maintenance and spare parts availability.

Remember, the right mixer pump truck for you will depend on your specific needs and circumstances. It's always a good idea to consult with a professional or someone with experience before making a decision.

Question 4

What are the advantages of a mixer pump truck over a standard concrete mixer?

Accepted Answer

A mixer pump truck has several advantages over a standard concrete mixer. These include:

1. Greater Efficiency: Mixer pump trucks combine the functions of mixing and conveying concrete, which can significantly increase work efficiency.

2. Mobility: They are easily movable and can deliver concrete to high-rise buildings or long-distance construction sites, which is not possible with a standard mixer.

3. Accuracy: They allow precise control over the amount of concrete being poured, reducing waste and saving costs.

4. Time-saving: It eliminates the need to manually move concrete using wheelbarrows or cranes, which saves a considerable amount of time.

5. Flexibility: Mixer pump trucks can handle different types of concrete and are suitable for various construction needs.

6. Labor-saving: As these trucks are automated, the need for manual labor is significantly reduced.

7. Quality: The concrete mixed in the truck is usually of higher quality due to the consistent and thorough mixing.

8. Cost-effective: Despite the higher initial investment, mixer pump trucks can be more cost-effective in the long run due to their efficiency, versatility, and reduction in labor costs.

Question 5

What is the maximum pumping distance of a mixer pump truck?

Accepted Answer

The maximum pumping distance of a mixer pump truck can vary based on the model and specifications of the truck, but generally, it can pump concrete up to a distance between 200 to 250 feet horizontally and up to two stories vertically.
