Question 1

What is the operational range of an Iveco S-Way Natural Gas (LNG) truck?

Accepted Answer

An Iveco S-Way NP (Natural Power) 4x2 tractor unit equipped with dual 540-litre LNG tanks has a stated autonomy of up to 1,600 kilometres. This range is dependent on factors such as payload, topography, and driving style. When operating on S-Way Bio-LNG, the operational range remains identical, as the chemical properties of Bio-LNG and conventional LNG are the same, while offering a near-zero carbon footprint.

Question 2

How reliable is the HI-TRONIX automated transmission?

Accepted Answer

The HI-TRONIX transmission is a rebranded version of the ZF TraXon, which is a market-standard automated manual transmission used by multiple heavy-duty truck manufacturers. Its reliability is well-established, with a design life (B10) of 1.6 million kilometres. The system's modular design and extended oil drain intervals (up to 600,000 km in long-haul applications) contribute to its durability and reduced total cost of ownership.

Question 3

How does a 0% VAT intra-community EU supply work when buying a truck?

Accepted Answer

For a business-to-business (B2B) transaction within the European Union, a 0% VAT rate can be applied under the rules for intra-community supply. The buyer must provide a valid EU VAT identification number that can be verified through the VIES (VAT Information Exchange System). The seller then issues an invoice without VAT, and the buyer is responsible for accounting for the VAT in their own country through a reverse-charge mechanism.

Question 4

Can I check data from the IVECO Connectivity Box through Truck1?

Accepted Answer

No, data from the factory-fitted IVECO Connectivity Box is not accessible via third-party marketplaces like Truck1. This data, which includes vehicle performance metrics and diagnostics, is proprietary and managed through the official IVECO ON customer portal. When purchasing a used Iveco truck, buyers should consult with the seller or an official Iveco dealer to verify the status of the telematics subscription and arrange for the transfer of data access.
