Question 1

What are the primary benefits of the Claas TERRA TRAC crawler drive system for soil health?

Accepted Answer

The TERRA TRAC system significantly reduces soil compaction by distributing the machine's weight over a large contact patch, which is up to 66% larger than that of comparable tired machines. This lowers ground pressure, preserves soil structure, and minimizes deep soil damage, promoting better water infiltration and root growth. The design also enhances traction and reduces wheel slip, which further protects the topsoil from degradation during high-torque field operations.

Question 2

How does the APS SYNFLOW HYBRID system increase threshing capacity in LEXION combines?

Accepted Answer

The APS SYNFLOW HYBRID system boosts threshing capacity through a highly efficient two-stage process. First, the Accelerated Pre-Separation (APS) unit with a 755 mm threshing drum separates up to 30% of grains before the crop reaches the main separation area. The remaining crop is then fed to the large ROTO PLUS axial rotors, which provide an extensive separation area for gentle and thorough grain removal. This combination allows LEXION combines to achieve throughput rates exceeding 100 tonnes per hour in high-yield crops.

Question 3

What permits and logistics are required for exporting wide Claas headers within the EU?

Accepted Answer

Exporting wide Claas headers, such as VARIO or CONVIO models exceeding the standard road transport width of 3.0 meters, requires special transport permits. These permits are issued by national or regional transport authorities and specify approved routes and travel times, often restricting movement to night hours. For headers over 3.5 meters, an escort vehicle (Begleitfahrzeug or BF3) is typically mandatory to ensure road safety. Logistics involve using specialized low-loader trailers and coordinating with freight forwarders experienced in oversized agricultural equipment transport.

Question 4

How can a buyer verify the CEMOS Automatic system version on a used Claas machine listed on Truck1?

Accepted Answer

To verify the CEMOS Automatic version on a used Claas combine, a buyer should request that the seller access the system information screen within the CEBIS terminal. The seller can then provide a clear photograph or screenshot of this display, which shows the installed software version and lists all activated CEMOS modules (e.g., Auto Threshing, Auto Separation, Auto Cleaning). This documentation confirms the machine's exact technological capabilities and is a critical step in due diligence before purchase.
