Question 1

What is the operational reliability of the Deutz-Fahr TTV continuously variable transmission?

Accepted Answer

The TTV (Continuously Variable Transmission) is a well-established powertrain technology that uses a combination of planetary gearsets and a high-pressure hydrostatic unit. Its reliability is contingent on adherence to scheduled maintenance, particularly oil and filter changes for the transmission and hydraulic circuits. The design minimizes clutch wear associated with powershift transmissions, and its electronic control unit actively monitors pressure and temperature to prevent component damage. Proper operator training is also key to ensuring long-term performance.

Question 2

How does the iMonitor's H5 software support precision farming tasks?

Accepted Answer

The iMonitor, running H5 software, is the central control terminal for Deutz-Fahr's precision farming suite. It integrates fully with the SDF Guidance system for autosteering and manages ISOBUS-compatible implements, allowing for automated section control and variable rate application. The software supports standard data formats like ISO-XML and Shapefile for seamless data exchange with farm management information systems (FMIS). This enables operators to execute prescription maps for fertilizer or seed application with high accuracy.

Question 3

What are the requirements for an intra-community supply (0% VAT) purchase?

Accepted Answer

An intra-community supply with 0% VAT is a B2B transaction between businesses registered in different EU member states. To qualify, the buyer must provide a valid EU VAT identification number that can be verified through the VIES (VAT Information Exchange System). The seller must also obtain and retain proof that the machinery has been transported from their member state to the buyer's member state. These rules are strictly enforced to differentiate B2B sales from B2C sales, where VAT of the seller's country would apply.

Question 4

How can I check the DCR fuel injection service history on a used Deutz tractor on Truck1?

Accepted Answer

The Deutz Common Rail (DCR) fuel injection system's service history is documented in the tractor's official maintenance logs. When viewing a listing on Truck1, professional sellers often provide access to these records or will supply them upon request. It is recommended to request documentation showing regular filter changes and any diagnostic reports or repairs related to the injectors, high-pressure pump, or electronic control unit. Verifying this history is critical for assessing the long-term health and performance of the Deutz engine.
