Question 1

What are the operational benefits of the Fendt VarioDrive's independent torque distribution?

Accepted Answer

The VarioDrive system's primary benefit is optimized traction and maneuverability. By independently controlling the front and rear axles, it can proactively distribute torque to the axle with the most grip, minimizing wheel slip during heavy draft work. This system also enables a 'pull-in-turn' effect, actively pulling the tractor into a corner for a significantly smaller turning circle and reduced soil disturbance.

Question 2

How does the FendtONE platform synchronize data between onboard and offboard systems?

Accepted Answer

FendtONE uses a mobile data connection to synchronize information between the tractor's onboard terminal and the offboard FendtONE portal. Task orders, guidance lines, and field boundaries created in the office are sent wirelessly to the machine in real-time. Conversely, machine data such as fuel consumption, work time, and application maps are automatically uploaded from the tractor to the portal for documentation and analysis.

Question 3

What documentation is required for exporting high-value Fendt tractors outside the EU?

Accepted Answer

Exporting a high-value tractor like a Fendt outside the EU requires an Export Accompanying Document (EAD), generated through the customs system and including an MRN (Movement Reference Number). A commercial invoice detailing the tractor's specifications and value, and a Certificate of Origin may also be necessary depending on the destination country's import regulations. For customs clearance, an EX-1 declaration must be filed, officially stating the intent to export the goods permanently.

Question 4

When evaluating a used Fendt on Truck1, what is the significance of comparing Vario gearbox hours to engine hours?

Accepted Answer

Comparing Vario gearbox hours to total engine hours provides insight into the tractor's work history. A significant discrepancy, where engine hours are much higher than gearbox hours, indicates the tractor spent a large portion of its life idling or performing stationary PTO work, which places less stress on the transmission. A close ratio between the two suggests consistent field or transport work, which is typical but indicates the transmission has been under a working load for most of its operational life.
