Question 1

How does the Kubota Anti-Theft system function?

Accepted Answer

The Kubota Anti-Theft system is an engine immobilizer that uses individually programmed keys. Each machine is paired with a unique red master key for programming and several black operational keys. If an unprogrammed key is used, the engine's fuel and electrical systems will not engage, preventing unauthorized operation.

Question 2

What are the main operational differences between Kubota's KX and U series excavators?

Accepted Answer

The primary difference lies in the tail swing design. The KX-series are conventional tail swing excavators, where the rear counterweight extends beyond the width of the tracks during rotation, providing increased lifting stability. The U-series features a zero tail or tight tail swing, meaning the housing does not protrude past the tracks, which is a critical advantage for working in confined urban areas or next to walls.

Question 3

What are the logistical considerations for exporting Kubota mini excavators in shared containers?

Accepted Answer

Exporting Kubota minis often involves shipping in 40-foot High Cube containers, which can typically accommodate three to four units depending on their operating weight and dimensions. To maximize space, attachments like buckets are often removed and loaded separately within the container. Proper lashing and blocking are essential to prevent movement and damage during transit.

Question 4

How can a buyer verify the condition of tracks and pins on a used Kubota unit listed on Truck1?

Accepted Answer

On Truck1, buyers should meticulously review the provided high-resolution photos, focusing on the undercarriage. Look for signs of "scalloping" on sprockets, check the track tension, and request close-up images of track pins and bushings to assess wear. It is also advisable to ask the seller for the machine's service history and inquire if undercarriage components have been recently replaced.
