Question 1

What are the fuel efficiency benefits of the Renault T-High cab with an Optidriver gearbox?

Accepted Answer

The fuel efficiency of a Renault T-High is a result of integrated systems. The cab's trapezoidal shape and 12° inclined windscreen reduce aerodynamic drag. The Optidriver automated gearbox contributes significantly through its advanced fuel-saving software maps, which work in conjunction with the Optivision predictive cruise control to optimise gear changes based on road topography. Additionally, the Optiroll function decouples the gearbox on slight descents to use vehicle inertia, minimising fuel injection and consumption.

Question 2

How does the Renault K-series' design facilitate off-road construction work?

Accepted Answer

The Renault K-series is purpose-built for severe off-road conditions. Its design features a high ground clearance of up to 380 mm under the front axle and an approach angle of up to 32 degrees, preventing front-end damage on steep inclines. The chassis is constructed from high-tensile steel, and the truck is equipped with parabolic or semi-elliptical leaf spring suspension to handle high payloads on uneven terrain. The availability of the Optidriver XTREM gearbox ensures robust performance under heavy loads in challenging environments.

Question 3

What is the EX-1 document process for exporting Renault trucks from France or Germany?

Accepted Answer

The EX-1, or Export Accompanying Document (EAD), is a mandatory customs declaration for exporting goods with a value over €1,000 from the European Union to a third country. When purchasing a Renault truck in France or Germany for export, the selling dealer is typically responsible for generating this document through their respective national customs systems (DELTA-G in France, ATLAS-Export in Germany). This document proves that the vehicle is officially leaving the EU customs territory, making the transaction exempt from VAT.

Question 4

How can Truck1 be used to compare offers from different Renault truck dealers across the EU?

Accepted Answer

Truck1 consolidates listings from hundreds of dealers, enabling users to compare offers for similar Renault models on a single interface. A user can search for a 'Renault T 480' and view units from dealers in Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, and more. The platform allows for side-by-side comparison of critical data points such as asking price, first registration date, mileage, and included equipment like maintenance contracts or specific Serenity packs. This transparency helps buyers identify the most competitively priced and suitably specified vehicle across the European market.
