Question 1

How does Active Brake Assist 5 enhance pedestrian safety in Setra buses?

Accepted Answer

Active Brake Assist 5 (ABA 5) is a fusion of radar and camera systems that represents a significant advancement in pedestrian safety. Unlike earlier versions, it is capable of initiating automated full braking when it detects a risk of collision with pedestrians crossing, coming towards, or walking in the same lane as the bus. This functionality is effective across the vehicle's entire speed range up to 50 km/h, providing a critical safety net in complex urban traffic situations.

Accepted Answer

The Setra S 531 DT is engineered for premium passenger comfort on long-haul journeys. Key features include a spacious interior with seating capacity for up to 83 passengers, an optional TopSky Panorama glass roof, and a sophisticated dual-zone climate control system for the upper and lower decks. Question 3

What is required for the export homologation of a Setra bus from the EU?

Accepted Answer

Exporting a Setra bus requires specific documentation for homologation in the destination country. This process typically involves obtaining an EU Certificate of Conformity (COC), which verifies that the vehicle meets EU standards. For customs clearance, an Export Accompanying Document (EAD or EX-A) is mandatory, alongside the original vehicle registration documents (Part I and Part II). Depending on the destination, transit plates with temporary insurance are also necessary to legally drive the vehicle to the port of departure.

Question 4

How can the mileage of a used Setra bus be verified on Truck1?

Accepted Answer

Verifying the mileage of a used Setra bus on Truck1 involves examining the documentation provided by the seller. Buyers should request comprehensive service history records from official Setra service centers, which detail maintenance and record mileage at each interval. Additionally, inspecting the digital tachograph data can provide an accurate and legally binding record of the vehicle's operational hours and distance traveled, offering a reliable cross-reference to the odometer reading.
