Question 1

What contributes to the high breakout force of Takeuchi TB-series mini-excavators?

Accepted Answer

The high breakout force in Takeuchi's TB-series is a result of an optimized hydraulic system and robust structural engineering. The hydraulic system is designed to deliver high pressure and flow directly to the bucket cylinder, maximizing power. This is complemented by a heavy-duty boom and arm construction and a solid undercarriage, which provide the stability needed to leverage that force effectively against resistant materials without compromising the machine's balance.

Question 2

How do wrap-around counterweights enhance the operational stability of Takeuchi machinery?

Accepted Answer

Takeuchi's signature wrap-around counterweight is a single, heavy-duty cast component that extends around the rear and sides of the machine. This design provides two key benefits: it lowers the machine's center of gravity and distributes weight more evenly, significantly increasing stability during lifting and digging operations, especially over the side. Additionally, it serves as a protective bumper against job-site impacts, shielding critical engine and hydraulic components from damage.

Question 3

Is it possible to purchase Takeuchi equipment VAT-free for B2B export within the EU?

Accepted Answer

Yes, intra-community B2B transactions for machinery like Takeuchi equipment can be conducted VAT-free. For this to apply, both the buyer and the seller must be registered businesses with valid EU VAT identification numbers. The transaction must be an export from one EU member state to another, and proof of transport must be provided. This is a standard procedure known as a zero-rated intra-community supply.

Question 4

What are the key indicators of undercarriage wear to check on a used Takeuchi machine listed on Truck1?

Accepted Answer

When inspecting a used Takeuchi's undercarriage on Truck1 listings, check for several key indicators in the photos. Look for the sharpness of the sprocket teeth; pointed teeth indicate significant wear. Examine the track chain links and pins for signs of 'stretching' or excessive play between links. Also, check the track rollers for flat spots or oil leaks, and assess the remaining thickness of the rubber tracks or steel grousers, looking for deep cuts or missing chunks.
